We will be going to Disney for my son to play in a baseball tournament the week of Fourth of July. I thought I would pack a TC hammock and some straps a buckles for some relaxing on the resort grounds. anyone ever done this? Or is it a no-no

Never done it. Been there, don't remember any large trees around.
I would bring it. You should be able to find a spot to hang.
Disney is usually pretty accommodating to guests. I would recommend bringing it.
The water park at Sea World San Antonio provides hammocks for its guests. So just ask a senior staff member there and be sure it does not block passageways etc. May be difficult to get it in writing but permission in person is easier, just be very polite and positive. A welcome change for some of them at guest services. I always get the manager's name. Special behind the scenes events, cabana rental etc. at some of those parks no longer accept tips but i always offer.
Back from an awesome week in Orlando watching my son play baseball in the Disney/ESPN Salute to Baseball tournament. Just so happened there was a spot right below our room at the Pop Century Resort that was made for a hammock. There were Disney employees around and no one said anything about me hanging. One picture is me hanging at the ESPN sports complex waiting on a weather delay. There, two employees did have something to say and I quote.." we were discussing who was going to roll you out of that so we could have some time laying in it" BTW, the team came in third overall in their age division and 1st in the conciliation bracket.

Great news on both the team and your hang. I am learning to take my gear with me everywhere I go because one never knows when an opportunity to hang will present itself. It's all part of the fun...
That's great, Latriper! Congrats to your son and thanks for the report! So glad it worked out well for hangin'!!

Surely, God could have made a better way to sleep.
Surely, God never did.
Welcome to the Florida fun in hanging.
Sounds like a good time was had by all. I'm glad your experience was positive with the hammock. Now you need to come back in Winter for the Fifth Annual Florida Hang in Ocala, Fl. That's just to the North of Orlando.
It's a great time of over 100+ hangers in 1 spot. Check out some of the previous hangs pics and it will leave your mouth watering.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
