    Pictures of my new setup

Just went out and hung my new setup for the first time. It's a conglomeration of gear from a bunch of different cottage vendors.

    • WL Snipe Hammock w/ adjustable ridgeline
    • Zpacks Cuben Tarp w/ continuous ridgeline w/ Dutchware
    • BIAS Nano Buginator
    • Dutch buckles, tree straps, and whoopies from Dutchware
    • Titanium hook stakes from Lawson
    • Mountain Goat noseeum snake skins

Does it look like I did everything generally right? It was must first time with everything. The structural ridgeline was taut, but not like... super taut. I could pull it down a bit with no problem while hanging in the hammock.

Well, the tarp is above the hammock; I'd say you did a good job!

Nice mix of cottage vendors. Great support of our friends. Looks good and you didn't fall on the ground. Success!

I'm not sure what you are doing with the tails of your whoopies but it looks inadvisable. I once got into my hammock and pulled the whoopie tail into the hammock with me. It acted like the perfect drip string and funneled all the water away from the ground and into my hammock.

Only thing I would add is Dutch whoopie hooks and you'd have a SilvrSurfr approved setup!

I put the end into the adjustable loop to get them off the ground. No part of the tail was under the tarp so I thought it would be okay. What should I do with them?

Let 'em dangle bro, let 'em dangle. Whenever I go to a nude beach I always get some sand on my apparatus.

Probably fine what you're doing. I just don't see a drip point for water running down the suspension. My hammock got wet that one time 'cause I was trying to keep the tails off the ground, which is kinda silly if ya think about it.

I prefer to have my suspension separate from my hammock - wet suspension and dry hammock just annoys me. And then there is the dreaded tree sap that everyone worries about (I don't 'cause my suspension is always packed separate from the hammock). That's the only thing I would change in your setup.

Is it okay to store the tarp in the snakeskins long term?
