a testiment to the quality of warbonnetguy's hammocks.
Those who expect disappointment are never disappointed.
Or a sign of someone not doing their homework.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
no wait time is worth an extra $12 for some i suppose
ebay is famous for bidding frenzy... most of the reason I only "buy it now."
More to the point - who sold the blackbird? hmmmmm?
How many of us were watching it? I had hoped to get a bargain on this non-name brand item, but this hammock thing is getting crazy. When you see used Hennessy stuff going at ridiculous prices on THIS forum, you know it's getting too mainstream.
His Bushbuddy didn't bring retail.
I realize this thread has most likely gone cold (and you could probably care less...) but FTR, I was the individual who purchased this BB from ebay.
Oh, I did my homework - to the point of exhaustion (and ridicule by friends). That is why I chose to go with the BB. I initially contacted Brandon - he was very prompt with a response and extremely helpful. Unfortunately the time it would've taken to get one made wouldn't allow me to take it on my scheduled trip (Main camping/mountain biking/hiking trip of the summer in the Lakes Basin area of CA).
It just so happened that there was a brand new one selling on ebay (how often does that happen???) Perhaps hammock fever is more insidious than I initially expected, and I certainly had no intention of circumventing/undermining his business. Regardless, I can speak very highly of the quality and based on my experience would definitely do business with Brandon in the future. Those nights of sleep were ones I will not soon forget.
Mike had it right, though. I simply looked at the extra $12 dollars as though it were convenience fee/priority shipping. Patience really never was one of my virtues.
Judge me if you must.
Yeah , who would get rid of one of the best hammocks out there? we need to do an intervention.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
No judgement. You made an informed decision and decided to pay for expedience. All very rational.
