Question Double layer hammock with 2 different Denier nylon

Has anyone ever had/made a dl hammock with different denier of nylon for each layer. I ask because while i am 5'6" and 150 pounds, i want the double layer to discourage mosquitoes, but figured i could save a touch of weight by using a 70D for the exterior layer and 20D for the interior layer. Anyone ever done this? I suspect that people don't do this because the fabrics stretch differently or that the savings in weight is absolutely negligible.

    Thanks for any input.

shouldn't be a problem. My DL hammock uses two different materials altogether for the layers. the inside layer is a soft polyester which feels nicer against the skin than nylon.

Yes, I have made several and a couple of them where with different widths of fabrics. Instead of cutting the wider fabric to match the width of the narrower fabric I just made wider rolled hems on each side.
