Complete Newbie from Germany / cur. Japan

    Hi everyone,

I have pretty much no outdoor-experience, a little bit of super-soft "camping" as a child and a few day tours with a backpack is all I've ever done. But after looking at hammocks through a screen for half a year, I've finally decided to get myself some gear (yay, accidental rhymes ^^). The hammock and everything should arrive end of July, at which point I'll just start hiking through central Japan for the remaining month that I'll be here. Don't worry, I'm not stupid enough to wander days from civilization with my level of non-experience.

As for why I'm in Japan, I'm currently studying abroad for one semester, but my flight and visum will allow me to stay about a month longer than needed for school. End of August I'll take everything back to Germany with me.

If anyone would like to meet up, either in Japan or Germany, I'd love to; though from this forum it sure seems like there's hardly a dozen hangers in both countries combined.

Well then, nice to meet you everyone and bw,
    Tobias

Welcome from the Jersey Shore. I was stationed in Stuttgart while in the Air Force. Beautiful country around there.

I'm actually studying around Stuttgart when I'm not abroad, though I'm originally from lower saxony. Have to agree, it's quite nice in the south.

Hello form Palatinate. Number of hangers in Germany seems to increase. We should be more than 12 ())! DasBushbaby
