I done got bit by the hammock bug while hiking for a few weeks on the AT this spring. Since catching the bug in April I've hung a bit across GA, NC, VT, CA and OR. My "porch hammock" (aka ENO DoubleNest) served me quite well for a stretch on the AT, but bug season was fast approaching and I decided to upgrade to a WBBB XLC. I've been quite pleased with it so far.
I'd like to thank a bunch of you for contributing to such an amazing forum and community. It never crossed my mind that there was so much to learn. I've been lurking on and off for a couple months trying to soak in some knowledge, and figured it was time to introduce myself. Please forgive any silly questions or any lack of skill with the advanced search. I'm sure I'll ask a few things that have been answered a dozen times over.
Lastly, can anyone from my neck of the beach tell me how often people might get together for a S Cal hang?
