They're about the size of a football.

This is my 20 burrow and it will go even smaller in a compression sack. I usually will pack both top and bottom quilts together in one compression sack. The incubator is about the same size.

i keep my insulation and my UQP in a L15 sea to summit eVent compression sack. you can get it pretty small.

Just a tad bigger than a football i would say, but when you start loading gear on top of it in your pack you can compress them down a bit more.

I would say its about the size an adult human head as far as spacial and visual comparison , and can compress to the size of a babies head. The stuff sack they are shipped in are still has room to be shaped into your pack, I like to flatten mine out a little bit instead of keeping it round, some people like to lose the stuff sacks all together and pack their gear on top and use their quilts as space fillers to keep pack shape while some like dri-bags for extra protection, I guess it only matters in comparison to the space you have and the space you need to make that choice of how you need to manage it for the trip.
