Barring nuclear war, you can count me in. I happen to be down in the Natchez/Woodville area for site inspections once a month and should be able to schedule them for that Friday. Are we intending on staying at the campgrounds? There is the issue of Youth gun and early primitive weapon seasons for deer being open and that may translate into a full campground and orange hats. I might also bring my canoe and do some fishin'.

Staying at the campground seems to be the idea at this point. Lot's of new hangers (hopefully) and new to group hang folks (hopefully). Just a lot easier to go from the sites. Those who hike or bike can hike or bike from there or very close by while those who lounge can lounge in an area with excellent amenities and access to other recreational endeavors (I fall into both categories - I'm ambidextrous) plus having a central spot to congregate to share food, fire, information and fellowship is what the group hang specializes in.

I appreciate your posting in on this. Please point your other hanging acquaintances to this option. The more the merrier.

We'll nail this down solid by the end of August more than likely and have a separate planning thread for that when the time comes.

I'm interested. If there's not as much participation from south ms folks, rocky springs would be a nice place in the mid-fall

Gps4, I am in the early stages of planning a separate hang near the hinds county area, just a small get your feet wet kind of thing. It will be earlier than this one and hopefully we can use it to boost attention to the clear springs hang discussed here. I'm out about every other weekend or more usually, just dealing with some stank that is making me play nearby for the next few weeks. This won't be a major event or anything, I'm just gonna post my next publicly located hang ahead of time and let come who may. This will be all I mention on this thread of it as I try dearly not to hijack, but any and all site ideas are welcome via pm.

I'd be interested in another hang as well, seeing as how the dates for HNF won't work for me.

Timberrr and I should be in that neck of the woods during that time. We may have to skip out for a day with family obligations, I suspect we can spend one night.

You'd still likely win the award for coming the farthest distance to get to a group hang. Love to have ya. No joke.

I might be interested in joining y'all. I am just getting started with hammock camping and would very much like to see some other setups. That said, my attendance will be based on my kid's schedule for this time of year. So I can't commit right now, but you can mark me down as a maybe.
