I want the new eno jungle hammock now!

I want the new eno jungle hammock now!

    but I can't wait .......

my niece's mom (my sister) got my niece some piece of crap hammock from a local army navy store for this summer's worth of camping. We set it up and it's just not going to do, just as I had predicted. There are a few hammocks out there that I'd like to have but now it's become time sensitive but we're in luck. A local outfitter's store carries eno, so we're off to do some shopping and fix up my niece with a guardian bug net, a double hammock, and i had already got a sportsman's guide 12x12 cheapie tarp which might work out ok. it did seem to work ok last night thu some rain while we camped on cots on the party barge.

My niece already likes my eno double so this will be her first hammock! but as we all know, you can't seem to have just one ........ will the eno jungle hammock be next? anyway, we're off shopping!

Good luck! As far as I can tell, they aren't selling any of the new items in stores yet. I've been keeping my eye out too, cause you know...I like new toys.
If you find it, you must report back. Please.

What do you guys like best...the ENO single nest or double nest? I'm leaning more toward the double for the extra room....but what about weight and packed size? Any info would be appriciated...thanks!!

I prefer the double, but sleep great in the singles too. I like the double in large part because it allows Genuine Draft and I to snuggle up all nice and comfy. She was adamantly opposed to the singles until she spend some time in one. Now, I think she prefers the singles; although, she is pretty short and tends to sleep down the center anyway. If you're a diagonal sleeper, I'd say go with the double. If you sleep down the middle, go with the single. Or, just get one (or two) of each.

I don't know the weight differences, but the double will weigh at least a couple of ounces more. They both pack down fairly small, but again, the double has more fabric so it's going to weigh a little more and take up more space.

I really like a couple of things about these style of hammocks. For one, I really dig the fabric! It's very comfortable against the skin. Another reason is the way they excel in 'lounging'. ENO, Trek Light, TTTM, etc. are by far my favorite to have around camp for just sitting. I don't usually hike with them, but they are fantastic at camp, in the front yard, in the living room, on and on. They are just great loungers IMO.

You can pre-order items from the catalog if you call them. I was talking to them last week and they told me that they had a bunch of pre-orders in for the underquilt.
