    The forces on the struts will always be in compression, but the force on the anchors will vary with the angle of the struts. More vertical struts will increase the pull on the anchors and too close to horizontal will cause the base of the struts to slip.

    gmcttr, did you give up on trying the WBRR on the handy hammock??? My friend wants to try her's on it, and if it isn't a good idea due to the forces exerted on the stand, I wiould like to let her know.

    I didn't get to try a better setup before I packed up the HH stands and shipped them to you.
