Use a Hammock Bliss with a Claytor diamond tarp. Agree simple is good, but things do seem to be getting convoluted lately. Sooo much gear so little money.

Every night, but it's an uber comfy Brazilian home hammock. I've got a bunch of little neighbor kids that come running every time I set one up outside. Farthest thing possible from relaxation.
    Trust nobody!

Agreed, BB has some nice features, but any of the top will be nice too (clark, JRB, etc)

Blackbird for bug season. When the buggies are gone I'm getting the Traveler back out!

The best hammock is the one you're sleeping in. The worst is the one you can't sleep in.

Start by trying other hammocks. Don't skip this step, because you'll need to come back to it if you do!

    You could also do this:

Start by getting Ed Speer's book Hammock Camping.

Make a hammock according to his instructions (he also sells a kit). There are similar instructions here if you don't want to buy/borrow the book:

    http://www.imrisk.com/testhammock/testhammock.htm

    http://www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeHammock.html

I don't like the taut sides or bugnet on Speer's design. These are easily changed. Whipping gives you more room and a more comfortable hammock than knots if you sleep on the diagonal.

Customize it if you don't like it.

If you still don't like it try others.

The best hammock is the one off the ground.
