Sounds like Jared is moving across country over the next few weeks and setting up shop in his new location during that time. He is putting some more premade stuff up in the Gear Up and Get Outdoors specifically for this over the next few days.

Vendor Subforum Request for Simply Light Designs

Back in September of 2016, I pulled together all of the relevant links for SLD aka Simply Light Designs. There have been many posts since regarding this vendor about his commitment to quality and top notch customer service. There was a new post today on my original "SLD 101 guide to HF" from another of our fine cottage vendors. To me, that carries a lot of weight and I thank him for doing that.

I'd like to make a formal proposal to add Simply Light Designs to the vendor subforum. I feel it's time and it will help in keeping things organized. i know that Jared isn't the most active around here, but that's just his style. He always puts the customer first and I think that there are many of us around here who have had the same experience.

    Thank you for the consideration.

I also agree and would like to see this happen. Perhaps Jared does not want it and that is ok too, but I agree that it would be rather helpful and as storm crow said many on the subforum are not active

Agreed for all the aforementioned reasons, if (and only if) Jared would be amenable. I am sure having an HF vendor forum, while it might be good for business, also has its trade-offs. Jared has always been attentive to and communicative with all of his customers via direct means, and with complete respect and thanks to michigandave for his very useful catalog of SLD threads, it could be very possible that a the demands of presence on HF do not mesh well with Jared's business life. He will continue to be a rampant success and command a loyal following with or without a vendor subforum as a result of the quality of his products, his business ethic, and his dedication.

When just starting out with hammocks and accessories, I found the dedicated vendor Subforums particularly helpful when researching products and still is for ease of research. SLD is the only vendor currently that really stands out as needing a dedicated Subforum. It would certainly be helpful especially to the new folks researching products and an exceptional vendor like SLD.
