This is actually our Peekaboo cover. It has a large bugnet window. It can be opened and closed from the inside. Picture 7 shows it fully closed, 8 is fully opened, and 10 is half opened.

That's not entirely surprising. The very first hammock I made was largely based on the instructions and feedback in this thread. The assymetrical bugnet, end triangles, and pullouts certainly are not new ideas. The thread dates back to 2007. Much of our current design revolves around making improvements on that first hammock.

What you'll probably find that's not quite so familiar are the zippers. I was unimpressed with the suggestions in the thread, and disliked having to reach all the way up to the end of the hammock to zip/unzip my net with my first hammock. We came up with a much improved way of installing the zippers such that they end in the middle of the hammock, where the user enters and exits. This is common for both the Netty and the Envy.

Additionally, you'll find that the Peekaboo cover takes the idea of an overcover a step further, allowing a user to pick just how much vent they want. And as the night gets cooler, you can close it with ease, while still keeping insects out that might inevitably find their way in. If you don't want the added weight of the netting and short zipper section, you can still go with the Peak cover - a much more generic overcover.

It's even less surprising when you figure that I'd seen pictures of the prototype.

How does this differ from a Dangerbird/Thunderbird by Dream Hammock?
