Well it turns out they are completely booked except for a handicap accessible site. Same with the other state park you mentioned Alex. Guess we'll be going somewhere else.

Would u like to stay in deerfield that weekend? Only about a 5-10 minute drive to either park.
No facilities or water is the only downside if that's what ur looking for.

That is a very kind offer, Alex. I'll have to get back to you. My wife is a little hesitant about the no-facilities aspect.

We were contemplating going to Pearl Hill State Park in Townsend, MA. There are a lot of sites available for that weekend. We went there a couple years ago. Really beautiful. LOTS of trees if I remember correctly. Might be a good place for a group hang sometime!

Check out this blog my wife found (a woman who biked from Cambridge to Pearl Hill, and she's a hammocker.) http://www.oneleafgis.com/pages/bike_PearlHillSP.php

That looks like a bunch of fun people and fun projects and fun activities. There is almost nothing as good as a group hang with food brought together by everyone pitching in to make the wonderful meals and memories. This is surely something the kids will not forget.

Very nice looking vid your got there. You get a Tony or Emmy for the musical score.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

===> We had a great time! The last few hangs up here we have scheduled "classes" on everything from GPS usage, map and compass use and reading, general fire starting techniques, Bushcraft fire techniques (Bow Drill making and fire starting), knife sharpening, hide tanning, Chicken butchering, knots and Whoopie Slings, stove making and more. All by volunteer hangers, who are an amazing bunch with a wide array of interesting skills! Just sitting around all day at a large group hang can get a bit boring (other than all the amazing food available all day!), so it is fun to have these 'learning sessions'. Especially when Dutch comes! 😄

~ SkyPainter, already buying more gear for the winter hang season!

Thank you Alex, but we'll have to pass. Susan just isn't comfortable with 'no facilities'. Still not sure where we'll go that weekend...
