I needed a bugnet for my ENO DN, that two people could comfortably fit inside.. I found on Amazon 40 yards of Tulle for 20$, so it was off to the races!
My first trial was just 2 lengths of mesh, 54" x 104", sewn together all the way around, except for a gap in the lower seam, which I sewed a channel with shock cord, to serve as the door. Climb in through the bottom, get in the hammock, then pull the hole closed tightly with the shockcord.. Worked well.. For one person. It was too small for 2 people though!
Since I have plenty of material, I started a new one. Same thing, but using 3 lengths of mesh, then sewn together into a 'triangular tube', then bunched up the ends some to seal it off. It hangs by one of the seams, with mason line sewn into the ridgeline of the net. 2 panels then hang alongside the hammock, and the third connects below the hammock, and mostly lays on the ground.
Plenty of space for 2 to climb around inside the net without pulling it tight. Can even sit side by side in the hammock with legs hanging down, and still be protected!
I'll have to take some pics at lunch today, didn't get a chance to, since it was dark by the time i was finishing it last night. Tonight, I'll do a permethrin treatment to get some extra repellency..
I'll be hanging it beside a river in northern Michigan this weekend, so the setup will be tested for sure!
