    Tarp Rigging Question

Hello. I have a question about a rigging setup that I've been kicking around. I'm a noob so take it easy on me .

Would it work to rig a tarp using a spliced loop of lash-it fed around the tree and back through itself with a soft shackle prusik (or similar) attached to the tarp? (I would put one of these on either side.)
This seems like it would be a really light setup that still allowed for a lot of adjustment. All you would need to do would be to pull the tails away from the prusiks to tighten it up.

Thanks in advance for the input.
