    New hanger in OH

Just purchased my first hammock a few weeks ago (Grand Trunk Ultralight). It was relatively inexpensive so I figured it would be a good starter hammock. Plan on doing some backpacking in Southern Ohio as well as kayak camping. Thought the hammock would be the lightest and most comfortable way to go. Going to try it out next weekend (as long as everything goes well). Looking forward to the forum!

Welcome from Florida. That was my first hammock also! Actually, my first two - me & the Mrs. We won't go into detail on how many hammocks later….. But I still have those 1st two!

Welcome from Central Ohio. I've got a couple of GT UL's they're great to have around and do make good starter hammocks. Eventually you'll get the urge for something bigger and more comfortable then maybe a bug net. It's a slippery slope.
