Camoflaging a originally white bug net

I bought TTTM bug net roughly a year ago, granted it was an impulse buy, but I did not like it sticking out like a sore thumb in the woods so I thought I'd paint it to camouflage it.

I bought three spray paints: matte black, green and brown. I already had a pretty vibrant green spray paint bottle, which I used as base coat. After the base coat was applied I kinda just fiddled with the three other paints, and used leaves and tree branches to get some texture to it so it would blend in more with the background forest.

I am pretty pleased with the results, as seen in the photos, even though the paint makes the bug net a bit more stiff and it does not fit anymore in to the (IMO) stupidly designed banana bag. I am going to make a DIY bag for the net and remove the original one. Time will show how well the paint will stay or will it shed off.

Looks like you used branches from nearby trees as stencils. Wise choice and good work.

So where's the bugnet? I expected pictures of it. Instead, I just see pretty pictures of forest. LOL

Interesting. I came across a ton of white tulle and was trying to figure out how to make it easier to see OUT of--never thought of spray paint (seems like it was rub off when flexing).

Yours does look better than black no-sew-um bug netting however the advantage of black is that it is easier to see out of. I have dyed a lot of fabrics with "Rit" brand liquid and powdered salt based dye. These work great with cotton to make your own camo but are very difficult with most synthetic fabrics.
