    good people

I don't really know where to put this, so if it needs to be moved ok.

I just want to say I have been part of Hammock Forums for just over two years I think. And the good heartedness of the people here never stop amazing me . I have had people give me full set ups before, the folks here will go out of their way to help one another. You just don't find that in the world anymore.so thank you all for just being you and looking out for each other. You guys are like family. If I can do anything to repay the kindness that has been given just let me know.

I absolutely love this place, and can't wait till I get to see some of you at a hang..
    Sincerely,
    Brad

    And I'll third it..
The vets HAVE to be tired of telling the newb's the same thing, over and over again..

Do I need some sort of thermal protection under me if I sleep in the hammock at night??

I froze my butt off the first night I was in a hammock and I took an extra sleeping bag with me... And now, just a bit over a month later, I just finished sewing up my second PLUQ, with my own modifier of using a microfiber sheet as a baffle.. And two months ago, owning a sewing machine was a long ways from my mind.

    Thanks EVERYONE!!!

Hey visionarylion, man you are close enough to get to Fall MAHHA. That's where you will see and feel the goodness! I hope things allow you to make it there. Peace, Two Tents and ben ( my doggie)
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I've only been skimming around HF for the past year or so now and I have to say, I can't help but totally agree with this post. The environment here is so welcoming and encouraging. It's rare to find such a 'community' anywhere. Can't help but get that warm fuzzy when I log in and start reading.

I can't wait to go on my first group hang with you great guys/gals... LOL

I too have found the people on the forums to be outstanding, in their generosity, friendliness, and willingness to accept newcomers and help them in every way to get acquainted with the joy of hammocks, and all else that goes with them. I always feel a sense of pride from being a part of this great group. I also feel a sense of deep satisfaction when I think of all the friends I have made here, and the pure joy of meeting up in the middle of the woods to camp together. Long last hammock forums.

Honestly this is the reason I joined this site... there are so many forums out here but no real genuine help there. I know I probably have annoyed others with my questions but have learned so much already and honestly look at this site daily

+1 to all of the above. When I'm not actually hanging myself, I'm hanging out in here Cant think of a better place to learn, or to simply participate. Like Paper above, I never thought I'd be the one sitting at a thread-injector until I started out here.

Agree... this place has been a huge help although my wife and bank accounts might have a different opinion!
