I'm going down the North Kaibab Trail, which by the time you hit the first campground runs right next to bright angel creek which is spring fed so it stays running enough to keep a healthy population of cottonwoods all the way down to the river. I doubt I'll have a problem hanging.

think again, there is NO hanging at Phantom Ranch or the campground nearby. rangers there yell at you for hanging wet socks on a bush, seriously.

What about cottonwood camp and bright angel cuz that is where I am staying? Cuz I seriously tripple checked with two different rangers at the back country office on that subject. They couldn't find a single regulation against it even though one thought for sure there was. I guess I'll call up there one more time and have them contact a superior that hopefully makes these regulations. I told that one too not to worry as I use straps and not silly little ropes that girdle the trees badly and he seemed like everything should be gravy.

Me too!! I'm glad I should get it before my trip. Looking forward to it! For anyone who wants to know I ordered mine on June 11. I ordered some other stuff a little later as well so I hope they all got put together.
