First timer DIY hammock whipped end--look ok?

works ok so far, got about an hour in on it....

that's Dutch stuff, a loop and whatsit thingy there, I'm mainly concerned about how the end whipping looks and the loop larks-headed on there, placement etc. Seem ok to more practiced eyes?

Haven't done a whipped end (well I have, but just playing around) but looks pretty good. I'm thinking about making a couple of whipped end hammocks out of the tableclothsfactory.com stuff, one DL one SL, what did you use for the whipping rope?

Put another wrap of two on the larks head on the cinch buckle to fill the space so that it can't slip off center. If it slips, the cinch buckle will be on an angle relative to the strap which can damage or cut the webbing.

I looked at a pic sort of like this that had the extra wrapping. I could not immediately see how it was done but will fiddle with it when I get home. Tx!

After you pass the loop through itself to make the larks head just go around and back through itself again.

    Once...

Yes this makes sense. The pic on Dutch's site shows one line coming off on "top" of the metal and the other off the "bottom." The only thing I could imagine was the loop had been constructed on the metal dingus. Thanks,

Correct...Dutch's way is to wrap the cinch buckle and then make the splice to form the continuous loop.
