Or would it go all floppy and stretched out? I can stabilise the edges... I have a bunch of PUL that is sitting around.

I'd never heard of it so I just had to go exploring...now I know why I haven't heard of it other than the fact that I'm in Canada and we're about 2 decades behind in new technology when it comes to fabric....even my Taslan has to come in from the states....sigh!
I can't see that even with the edges stabilized that you wouldn't have a whole lot of floppy going on..we're talking a piece of fabric 10' long by 4 or 5' wide all in one piece. The only way to stabilize a piece of fabric that large would be with regular seaming which would defeat the whole purpose.
Take one of the lengths of fabric you've got, use buttons and string to create tie-outs, tie to a couple of trees or door hinges and see what you think.
Also, how does one seam seal this stuff!!
Neat fabric though!
wouldn't the fabric become porous when stretched?
Part of the point of a tarp hang is to have it taut. A stretch fabric would counter act that. While you can make a tarp out of anything you lose desirable characteristics if you experiment too far afield. That's not to say don't do it. Simply to say, don't get your hopes up.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

hmm ok.. yes I have plenty that I can test with. I'll have to use a hosepipe though seeing as rain is on the scarce side here!
I used it for first diapers and then bed protectors. Both were stretched and both performed well. Don't know how to seam seal it, wonder if I could rub silicone sealant into the fabric side.
Thanks for the help!
