Greetings from Tennessee

Hello everyone,

I have always loved camping and have been fascinated with hammock tents. Between the comfort, the size of the gear and being able to set it up, off the ground, I had to try it. I live in Nashville, TN and have fished and camped all over Percy Priest and the surrounding areas. My hobbies are fishing, photography, camping and kayaking. I have already read many posts and learned a great deal from all of your experience.

I look forward to seeing you in the forums.

Welcome from Oak Hill (okay, Nashville). Besides backpacking regularly (almost monthly), I also kayak camp on Percy Priest Lake (Bear Island). Neo has a thread active right now on here about a campout at the end of the month. I'd recommend checking it out.

Also, many members of Nashville Backpacker on meetup.com are hammock hangers. It's a free group. You might want to check it out. Our next monthly meeting is Monday night at REI at 7:00.

Thanks for the information Rain Man. I will have to check out that meetup group and the camp on bear island at the end of the month. That is such a great camping location.
