1.9 Tech Line Ridge/Guyline - Prusik to self?

I am working on my tarp ridgeline. I have the WB Edge tarp and already have plastic figure 9s. So I am leaning towards end ridgelines (not a CR) with prusik loops containing the figure 9s.

I'm eyeing the 1.9 techline at DIY Gearsupply. Would I be able to make prusik loops with the same material that will have enough bite? I suppose I could use the 1.2 techline, but the website says you cannot splice that and I like the clean look of continuous prusik loops.

If you have an alternate suggestion that I'm not thinking of, have at it!

Your idea should work just fine.

I use the same line, the same way, and it works great!

I recently tried this and the prusik is slipping. Will it fix itself as I wear off the waxy finish?

It will probably get better with use. An extra wrap on the prussic may help also.

Extra wrap on the prusik did the trick

I used the tech line on tech line with an extra loop to make it hold.
