I'm gonna try and knock out as many questions as I can before they are asked, so here goes.
Who's a hanging?
Anyone and everyone, we don’t discriminate cause you use a tent. Go to the spreadsheet and sign in. It helps us keep a head count on who is coming.
What we hanging for?
The 4th Annual Louisiana Fall Group Hang is a car camping event. You can hike, paddle, fish or just hang out.
When we hanging?
The second weekend in October, (10/9-12, 2014)
Where we hanging?
We will be back at the primitive area of the Kincaid Lake campground. Showers and restroom facilities are located half a mile up the road for those who need them. No electric or water available at sites. Vault toilets are within walking distance. We typically use one site as the main gathering area for campfire and dinners.

What is this going to cost me?
Campground fee is $10 per day. Campsites cannot be reserved, its first come first serve.
We will be doing a raffle again this year. Tickets are $1 per ticket. I have double tickets this year so no more ripping your ticket in half. Donations for the raffle are always appreciated. All proceeds from the raffle go toward raffle prizes for the next years hang.
What should campers do about food?
Granger has said he will cook again the Friday night.
We will be cooking a pig again the Saturday night but any other main or side dishes are welcome.
All other meals are up to the individual camper.
How much food do we need to bring for Saturday should I choose to cook something?
For a main dish look at serving size of 25 and for side something around 10-15. Don't be afraid to show off your cooking skstellar do have a pretty steller pair of cooks but we love to eat.
What about firewood?
In a state park it is always hard to find wood. It is just such a used area. It will get chilly and we usually have a communal campfire to sit around and tell Russian Topquilt or Cookie Coon stories. Bringing a couple logs would sure help a bunch.
A few things to remember for those attending for the first time.
Come completely self-contained as you would on a car camping trip at home. Don’t forget a camp chair. My stories can get lengthy and you may need to sit down for one or two of them. Also any donated items for the raffle or the gear PIF table.
I will be putting out a table so you hangers can do the PIF thing again. Rules will be displhonoron the table and are by the honor system.
Let the fun begin again.
