    NH>Deerfield>July 12-13> Last Minute Outing

Cretodecristo, 3 of his boys and I are planning on heading to Deerfield for the weekend. It will def be saturday-sunday and maybe friday pending on work schedules. If anyone would like to join just let me know. This is a great place to hang, test out new gear and work on bushcraft skills (I'll be making my bow drill! )

Also, just a heads up. There are no facilities or water here. Jim (the man who owns the land) is going to set out a 5 gallon jug of water for us but please bring a little extra with you just in case. From the parking area to the sites it's a very short easy walk. As for firewood, there's plenty of downed trees we can process our own or if you feel the need to bring some firewood like what we had at HP feel free.

There is some nice hiking trails (about 3-4 miles i believe) on the property and Bear Brook and Pawtuckaway state parks are both within about 10-15 min driving distance.

I'm in! Oh, wait. You said that. Looking forward to getting out!

Thinking there were no facilities, I was going to try to "rough it" to teach some LNT skills to my boys. From cooking and cleaning to digging cat holes to bear bags, I've got a lot to teach them.

    The more, the merrier!

    Oh and location is:
    Harvey Rd
    Deerfield, NH

Its exactly half way down the road from either side your coming from. You'll see a sign for the Great Brook Trail. Thats the trail head and the campsites are only a few hundred yards in on the left.
We have choice of both sites. The first is right along the trail and the other is a little more secluded and sits back further. Both are great for hanging and we have the whole place to ourselves either way.
