NH> Deerfield>Last Minute Hang

Had a great time this weekend. Thanks Cretodecristo and family for coming out.
The boys learned how to start a fire, 1 even started one with a fire steel, they all loved adding more wood and they always had the fire rippin!
Cretodecristo got his first actual hang in his hammock and even made a tablecloth hammock while we were out there.
I finally got to make my bow drill set and I figured out how to make a log camp chair (needs a higher back next time). I also hooked up my dutch God clips for the first time and they work great!
We went for a hike up to Blue Job Mountain on Saturday afternoon and picked a ton of blueberries. Some came back down in containers but I think most came back down in our stomachs!

I didn't take many pics, I always forget when I'm out but here's what I have.

Nice pics atrane... looks like a great place ... glad the kids got out with Dad to play in the woods... hope to get another chance to get together with you and the other forum members when a weekend opens up

Glad you guys had a good time. The chair looks mighty cool (maybe you can do a demo on it at the Pumpkin Hang).

Yep I used the chair for one of BCUSA class electives!

===> Dang! I am watching my Granddaughter next weekend! I could really use a real Bushcraft Meet! Did you make a full Bow Drill set yet? And did you get a good ember with it?

Yeah i made the whole set but i think it needs to dry out a little more. I got stuff that was as dry as i could find out there. I have it laying out at the house hopefully give it a good try this weekend at the bushcraft meet.
