Multipurpose Hammock Chair

I've been looking at making a hammock chair and I was also looking at Just Jeffs pack cover/gear hammock and wanted to make them. I decided to combine both into one.
This little thing can be used as:
(No pics of these yet)
-Bushcraft Chair
-Ground Cloth
-Mini Tarp

-Hammock Chair

-Hammock "Bench"

-Gear hammock

-Pack Cover

-Water bin/wash bin

I added some shock cord on the sides to help cinch it up for gear hammock or to hold water, etc. I also added little grosgrain loops in all 4 corners to be rigged as tarp or insert poles to give wash bin some "frame".

I added a pocket attached to the top of it. It actually works as 2 pockets and can be used while deployed for extra storage.

It folds in on itself to pack up nice and small and has the extra draw string pouch for ur tree straps and toggles.

And the normal size comparison pics everyone always posts. It will be smaller once I add smaller whoopies, I just used some extra long ones I had laying around for now. I'm not sure of weight as I don't have a scale.

Holy cow. I'm just days away from launching The Whoopie Chair - a similar hammock chair that does not aspire to so many things. Very cool idea.

These things are really fantastic! I made a two of them about 3 years ago when steelernation first posted the instructions. My wife and I use them on day hikes. Here's a link to Duane's instructional videos....

I saw his and I made a few little adjustments to my liking. This is definitely not original it's just a few ideas other had combined into 1.

This is a good thing! Hammockforums has a long history of group innovation. One person planting seed, followed by layer upon layer of tweaks and hybridization. That's what makes all this stuff so fun!
