Finally sinking a post for backyard hanging!

Recommend to any one considering doing something like this to not use 4x4 post as they can break. I had two of them break while hanging.

You can also use a cross beam at the top like I did. It prevents the posts from being bowed inward and/or breaking.

I just attached 2 4x4x8' posts to my deck just so i could hang outside.
My other hang/home spot has a beautifully treed backyard jungle..so slashed out a hang spot in there and life/sleep has never been better...think I am running about 3 weeks straight hanging myself.... and my back is liking it

^ I wish I had something like this in my backyard.

Or do like I did and put up 5 pier pilings around the center tree. No concrete needed

this is a great idea we hang from a tree to the 5 sections of privacy fence between us and neighbor.


I think this would be a great idea and what is funny is my father in law has asked when I want him to come down so we can set them up. haha
