    ocala national forest

I would like to camp in the forest however I have no clue where to go. I have a jeep so I can travel the back roads. Any suggestions would be great!

Are you going to car camp (or should I say) jeep camp?

With the family yes thanks jeep camp. I'm not opposed to a hike myself.

Are you looking for somewhere with facilities (running water, toilets, electricity, etc.) or just primitive dispersed camping (dig your own cat hole)?

I suggest Alexander Springs. You won't find many RV's there because there are no site hook-ups. But you will find some very well kept sites. There are some trails that connect to the Florida trail nearby. There are showers and flushing toilets. You can swim at the spring. No electricity. We always choose loop B. It seems the quietest.

    Hope that helps!
