6 night camping trip begins NOW!

Just received my two new Clark NX 250's yesterday. Barely even looked at them as a 13 hour shift had me gassed. I'll begin loading the car in a few minutes. I've got a spool of amsteel, one of lash-it, whoopies made but not tested, various other items all ready for a hang. It seems a bit nuts to NOT try everything out before we leave but hey, the clock is ticking and the White Mountains are calling! Sometimes in this perfectly imperfect world we have to roll the dice and hope our abilities to improvise will carry us through a forgotten piece of gear or a defective component. Wish me luck as I try and keep myself, mom and the kids dry in the Arizona monsoon tonight! I feel ready for the test. Besides, the wife is pretty darn handy. Looking forward to posting my first trip report next week.
The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only paradise we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need, if only we had eyes to see.

Good luck! Six nights out is a good measure of time, and enough to calm your mind from work - I know, I just tried it myself... :-)
