One question, do you put the space blanket on top of the underquilt, or on the bottom? I saw your plans for your diy hammock pad---do you have any condensation problems? Bythe way, I enjoyed your blog----the over under hammock is a pretty neat idea! I dont keep track of the time I spend camping or working on gear, but im sure I spend alot more time actually building gear than actually using it!

The space blanket should be between the undequilt and the hammock.

I have not had condensation problems with that DIY pad I built. I've not used it all that much though - I should have a better field report soon. A friend of mine has been using it on his AT thru-hike (with a Hennessy Expedition) - when he gets back I'm sure he can chime in on it's effectiveness. Last time we talked though, he said it saved his butt in the mountains.

Your both quite welcome. I'm happy to share my experience. I'm planning on writing a proper article on how I did the UQ (as well as the hammock) but that probably won't happen till fall.
