    New from Coastal NC!

Hey everybody, just wanted to introduce myself! Hailing from the Carolina Coast! I got a Ticket to the Moon (TTTM) double hammock last year for my birthday. I love it, lightweight durable parachute style hammock. The 440lb load capacity is great for lounging too! My current suspension setup is carabiner and webbing/knotted rope combo that is standard with TTTM. I'm in the market to add a lightweight tarp and bug net as well, as I'm planning some over night trips/hikes. The DD SuperLight Mosquito Net and the Warbonnet Superfly are currently on my radar. I've read a bunch of good tips from this site over the past couple of months, so I figured it was time to join!

Welcome to HF from Georgia. Sounds like you're on the way to some mighty fine nights in the piney woods. Don't forget about that pesky insulation stuff to keep you warm and toasty.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Welcome to HF from Coastal SC. This is a great place for information and find hangs near you to meet new folks who love to hang in hammocks as well.

    Welcome from Philly.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.

Welcome from down the coast always. Join us at the Hunger Hang at Merchant's Mill Pond in October. Your neighbor up in Otway - Gunner76 - can fill you in about it.

who me ? , yup, I live in greater down town Otway.

welcome to the madness. Get up with me and we can set up your rig in my back yard test site and make sure you have everything working right. I have a lot of different hammock and accessories in case you wanted to see something in particular.

Around here the best place to hang is on the Neusiok Trail in the winter time.

Also, as PappyAmos was referring to, we have a group hang at Merchants Mill Pond State Park in Oct called the Hunger Hang. Its a two hour drive from here ( depending on how fast you drive ) and we will have folks from NC and Virginia attending. For about half the folks attending the spring hang, it was their first group hang.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

    Welcome from lower mid NC.
I wish I was coastal (well except then the mountains would be farther).
    Anyway enjoy the hammocking.
