So many trees, so little time...
My mind is going thru things to make in my little dutch oven, see if I can contribute something more than just my willingness to stir and eat!

No ideas for the patch. Not any good ideas, anyways. More than enough ideas for kitchen prep. Too many ideas for eating.....Look out!
So, where are these 30 or so miles of trails from Doe Lake? How long is the trail attached to Doe Lake? Anyone do any recon, yet?
I'm hankering for a hunk of Doe Lake hanging.

I've seen some of the aerial views and seems like there are plenty of FR's, but little in hiking trails. The lake should have a nice trail around it looks like. That's said with the knowledge that these old fotos don't show the overgrowth that happens, of course. May have to do a hike out there some time soon.
Hiking is good. As another hanger has previously stated recently to a few of us, there seems to not be enough hiking happening. It's not meant with any ill will at all, just a good observation.
For me, a nice 2 hour hike early in the morning after breakfast daily should leave me wanting more....and hungry for lunch, at this group hang.
This seems to be such a special kind of group hang and different than any other in the year that I don't mind too much not getting a lot of miles in.
Ok... I'm in and Bugbait (oldest daughter Emma) is in. Apparently Bugbait is sticking to her word and is fully set to return Gumbo's egg carrier that was left behind on Goat Island (thanks Timberr ). I also have two Maybe's since we don't know what extracurricular activities my youngest daughter will be involved with at that time (possibly a Jr. Golf tour and/or children's theater). Allyson (wife) will wait to commit closer to date when we know for sure what schedules will look like.
If permitted, I will plan to bring my turkey fryer that I had on Goat Island. Will also look forward to helping in the "kitchen" when needed. I think I will get to paddle my new boat this time around.
Thanks to everyone to coordinates this event. Looking forward to another visit.

Andy, this year...if you have to do it, kidnap me for the Silver River trip. I really want to go see the monkeys again.
