    Map reading/nav class.
I stepped outside of my Army grid number skills and studied the GPS mapping number system. I am now prepared to use the degrees, minutes, seconds format on the map and commonly used now on our GPS' s. I ordered the maps in this form and have the map protractors to go with them. There is a little math involved but, Patches (11yo daughter) caught on, I think you can also. I am thinking about map reading class (identify hills, ridge, depression, and elevation change) Friday evening in the meeting hall? Refresher and plotting points on the map Saturday after lunch/kayak trip. And then navigation with compass and GPS as a backup/check after but before dinner.
    Any suggestions are welcome.

I am putting the schedule together now and it will posted in a couple of places. Keep in mind no one has to participate in any event and no one will be able to participate in every event (there are just too many things going on). The times will be posted in the lodge but check back often as there will be a write in spot for changes.

I am still looking for someone willing to head up the cornhole tourney and I am looking for 8 wonderful people to take the lead on kitchen duties for one mealtime. This does not mean I expect one person to do all the cleaning, I just want to have one person oversee cleaning after each meal. I'll open it it volunteers first, but if push comes to shove I'll have to consider your attendance as consent to conscription.

Shannan - this class is the thing I'm most excited about during the whole hang, but I may not be able to leave Tallahassee until 5pm, though hopefully earlier. If you'd be willing to schedule for as late in the evening as you're comfortable with, I'd be most appreciative.

Also, nix my earlier message. My transportation issues are solved.
