Just a thought.
This is pretty much how it's going to work, but since we don't have the benefit of everyone understanding the process (the FTA has been doing this for 31 years now at the same place), I've decided that I need one person at each meal to oversee getting everything done. There is more to do than just washing dishes.

    Cool

I'm in for prep, KP or cleaning or trash or bathroom duty any time the old man doesn't have other plans for the two of us. Sorry I can't be more specific.

For anyone interested, here's a link to a pdf version of the USGS 1:24000 quad map for the Doe Lake area. http://data.fs.usda.gov/geodata/rast...&gridSrc=29081

Click on the Lake Mary PDF map hyperlink which will download the map. It has UTM (blue) and lat/long (black) tic marks. This map should work well with what Shannon has planned for the navigation class. If you print this pdf, it'll take 9 letter size pages. You can also save it to a phone or tablet for reference.

We're going to leave that up to the donor. Just keep in mind that it should be something useful. A tee-shirt (clean and folded), a pan, an alky stove, a hiking pole, a mattress inflator, carabiners, a section of reflectix, rope or line or strapping, MREs, a book, a headlamp are all things that somebody could use. We are not limiting what can be on the Donation Table - it just has to be useful enough that someone would be willing to make a donation for it.

Tom, Take Hwy 40 off 326 (assuming your coming down 19/27. 326 dead ends into 40 and go east (left). When you get through Silver Springs the CVS is on left and Subway. Make a right on 314A and follow 14.3 miles. Watch for sign Doe Lake (I havent been there, but seems like there would be a sign) and take a left on 127th Street and 1 mile on right is entrance.
