The FTA people were very friendly two weeks ago, but I got the "I will shank you if you cut in front of me" look from every one of them, as I was making my way to the end of the food line.

Good point. Anyone who is in charge of behind the scenes(Gumbo and Timberrr), cooking(Richtorfla), guides, programs and classes(Itsandy/Olddog/Shannon and others),etc, etc. shall move to the front of the line at will.

There are many days and nights of thought, preparation, time and money they have put into this hang that they deserve this option if they choose.

They don't have to if they don't want to, but, it's a nice way for us to Thank You for all that you do.

That's my $.02 on the matter. I hope to see you all in a few days.

My mama was supposed to have spinal fusion surgery on Dec. 19, instead during pre-op testing, a large malignant tumor was discovered on her kidney. Further testing found a few spots in her lungs. She has finally been cleared today to have the tumor and kidney removed on Wednesday morning. I will be going to be with her in the hospital for her surgery and stay. I am going to miss seeing each of you. I've wanted to go to this event for the last couple of years now. Y'all have a great time!! I'll be thinking about y'all!

I remember when we were so shocked to have nearly 50 people at the first hang 5 years ago! Yikes!

Mike, I been reading every post since I originally posted on Dec 20th and I am totally blown away at where this has progressed since Jan 2011....
Everyone who has helped organize this years 5th Annual Hang deserves a huge applause

Junebugdawn, your mother & family will be in my prayers. You are doing the right thing of course. I nearly missed this hang myself as my daughter broke her neck 4 months ago, but has recovered enough for me to go. See you next year!
