Well happy people, its time to start the thread for the Uwharrie hang at Yates place. Tomorrow I will update this info to include the location and site info. I will also create a spreadsheet.
Up to this point we have always used the time change weekends to plan this, but that would mean Halloween night and weekend. As most of you will agree I am scary enough without a mask.
This is a very family friendly trip. We usually have great food and fire. We hike, or not. We do some target practice or go for a bike ride.
If you are new to hammocks or a seasoned vet, come on out and enjoy some time in the piney woods. This is a National Forest and as such it is free and we can do as we please. We usually need to bring water and maybe some firewood for the group.
We need to decide if we want to organize food? Breakfast, dinner, lunch or all? Do we want to do some competing? Maybe we divide the meals up by letting people cook what they do best? Try to spread it around by having a sign up sheet to make a certain amount of something for each meal? I left some info off the spreadsheet because we need to make a group decision on food, raffle, wood, activity if any.
Do we want any sort of raffle? Now that I am versed in diy I would be willing to make some stuff to be raffled.
Although I am posting this anyone willing to help or if you have any ideas feel free to step up. If I forgot anything I will try and fill in the gaps tomorrow.

They used to have a site specifically for Yates and I could not find it but here is enough info.
