In my search for Amsteel I found this site. It's the cheapest I've found, yet, for a 600ft roll.

Also, their price for 1/8" by the foot is $0.29 before shipping.

You can buy it for 21 cents a foot at West Marine and get free shipping to a local store.
I'm about to order 100' or so, it seems that Dutch has about the best price, shipped. I could go the WM route, but they're 45 min away, not worth it..
100' shipped comes to just under 25c per foot..
It's been over 18 months since I ordered from Reddin Marine out of Washington. They had a great price for a roll and their service is top shelf. Our troop is about halfway through the roll.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

It comes out to $0.1939/ft shipped for me. Not too bad if you want 600 ft. So far I've paid under $0.25/ft from other places and ended up with several different colors.
The sizes y'all are referencing are the 7/64". The sizes I'm looking at are 1/8". You might think it a bit overkill, but I'd rather have the extra strength than the weight savings.
