Hi, I'm relatively new to hammock camping (slept in the backyard and by my brother's pond) and would like to meet other hammock campers and learn a few things. I was wondering if there was enough room for one more at the site and if so, how do I get to Raven Cliffs? I will be coming up Satuday morning for just one night.

Always room for more so come on out and join us. From Cleveland take hwy 129 N. Make a right onto 75A. After you pass Smithgall Woods / Dukes Creek make a left onto hwy 348. Raven Cliff Falls is marked on the left about 4 miles up. There is a parking area to your left and the camp sites are along the creek behind the parking lot. There is a wood rail fence on the left side of the parking lot and the old dirt road leads to the camp area.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Yes, Shootin2ool, always room for more. We don't have to reserve sites or anything like that. I'm bringing my turtledog stand just in case anybody needs to see one in person.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Thanks for the kind welcome. Is the hang kind of like car camping or backpacking? Trying to decide how to pack.

Basically car camping but it does involve carrying gear 50 or so yards from the lot.

Glad you can make it and you are most welcome. 2 Ply gave you excellent directions, so just come on up and park and walk into the woods and we will be there, just look for the hammocks and tarps. I'm about 99.13% packed and ready already! I hope to be there by Noon and secure us a spot by the water.

The leaves have turned beautiful. I hear we might get some snow flurries, so i'll bring some extra firewood to scare off the goblins that come out on halloween, or maybe that invites them, i forget.
    The road less traveled.

I had to bail early. I wore my spider costume to the hang and when I went to change found that I had left the bag with ALL my clothes at home! All I had were leggings and light turtleneck which were part of the costume. I slept warmly enough, but the wind just went right through the leggings. MixUp graciously lent me his wind pants so I could pack up my stuff without freezing my legs. Other than that, it was fun.
