I'm new to hammocking and tried set up my hammock w/ bugnet using a sleeping bag in my hammock and found it very difficult to get in just wondering if anyone has some tips or tricks to make getting into sleeping bag then getting it comfortable to sleep on the diagonal?
Stand up, step into foot of sleeping bag, zip it up half way, sit/lay down in hammock.
The best way for me to use my sleeping bag is to use it as a top quilt. Just unzip it and tuck your feet in the foot box and pull the bag up. If you want to use it as a bag you could place the bag over your feet and lower legs while sitting in the hammock. Stand up and pull the bag up under your arms and sit back down in the hammock. Get in the hammock and adjust the bag under you as you like. I also have a New River UQ and you'll find it will keep you nice and toasty when using the bag as a top quilt with more freedom of movement and more comfort.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
