    My Perfect Hammock Width

I switched to hanging full-time last Thursday and I've been on staycation since then. I spent the first 3 nights in my new 62" x 132" ThunderBird (love it!), the next 2 nights in a 60" x 126" tablecloth and last night in a 90" x 126" tablecloth (all are comfortable but the ThunderBird is easily the most comfortable). I've also been doing back-to-back comparisons the past couple of days and I've noticed that in each hammock I'm using 54"-55" of the width (I measured) when I'm in the "perfect lay". I went into my switch to hanging full-time thinking that wider would be better but it turns out that for me thinner is better.

A couple of side notes: No blanket or top quilt needed for the 90" wide tablecloth, I completely cocooned myself in it last night. I sleep with a fan running in my bedroom year-round and its been as cool as 65F with no bottom insulation needed so far.

Trail Runner - Remind me (and everybody else) of your height and weight.

    My perfect hammock size is 120" x 60" and I'm 5'7", 265lbs.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm 6'-1" at 200# and my hammocks are 11' long.
