    AL>Sipsey Wilderness Area>December 12th-14th

Sunny, High in the 60s... Clear, Low in the 40s! Are you kidding me? Less than 2 weeks before Christmas?!

With that forecast, some of us gotta take advantage. I'm not a sure thing yet but I feel it'd be an injustice to miss out on one last hoorah in the Sipsey.

If I can swing it, it'd likely be a simple hike in on Saturday and out on Sunday morning. I'm sure there'll be plenty people hiking if the weather forecast holds up.

Man I wish I could swing that! What route are you planning? Also, have you walked any of the Clear Creek Trail (bike) out near the Sardis Lake? Been wanted to take my 12 yo over for a trial hike there. Wondering what kind of shape the trail is in as it has been years since I have been over there.

I'm definitely interested. I actually thinking of trying to get up there Friday.

I haven't been on those trails since last November. I didn't care too much for them, but I was stomping around before daylight with my headlamp. I found the trails to be a bit tough to follow with all the leaf cover. I ended up bushwhacking my way to the lake and walking the beach line. Not sure how high the water is right now, I haven't been out there in a couple weeks.
