I just bought This and I am not sure I am impressed just yet. You think it is knock off?

considering the poor English on describing the hammock I'm going with a yes. Get a name-brand hammock, its worth the money
The guy is in Email contact with me and he seems to be trying to work out a resolution. We'll see how it pans out.
what do you think is the problem?
If it holds together and is comfortable what more are you looking for. Granted it may not last as long but at that price how serious an issue is that? Is this your first hammock?
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I dunno. IMO, you get what you pay for when it comes to good hammocking gear. I'd be a little (lot) leery of purchasing that. Do tell though, did you actually pay the stated $33.00 for shipping?

yup it is my first hammock? I told the dude I would pay $55 shipped for the hammock and tarp and that was how it turned out. It showed up without the tarp and stuff sacks. None of the seams are finished and there is no way to put a pad between the layers of the hammock.
experiences like that is why I no longer shop ebay
Well I am finding a silver lining in my duped purchase. I am going to use this as a template and make my own version from scratch. Modified to my specs and customized to my needs.
To give credit where credit is due the ebay seller so far seems to be very accommodating is helping find resolution to my grievance. He told me to take it to a seamstress and have it fixed. Then email him the bill and he would reimburse.
I guess we'll see how it all pans out.
That's a knock off ior sure !!! I have a DD travel hammock. There are a few points which make me believe it's not a DD
The Travel has a waterproof base which can be used as a bivvi.
The mossie net has black tapes and webbing on it
The Tarp has black guying points
The tarp does not have a silver lining
Spreader bars are not supplied by DD
BUT, the seller does not claim its a DD hammock !!!
