EGL Fall 2014 Canoe Hang

Hi all,

With a little over a month before our hang, I wanted get some of the details ironed out.

So far we have it looks like we have about five canoes heading out...

On the water/Confirmed

Chard - Solo/Stern
76 Highboy - Solo/Stern
Sturgeon - Solo/Stern
Iguana - Solo/Stern - Thu
ggreaves - Stern - Thu
Chenvre - Stern
Old boot - Bow - Thu
Entropy - Bow - Thu

Testing the water/unconfirmed

Bubba? - Bow

I also wanted to know if there's an interest in having what's become a nice EGL tradition of a group soup/stew for dinner Friday and/or Saturday night, say maybe a nice Beef Bourguignon the first night and New England Clam Chowder the second?

I'm taking the Thursday and Friday off if anyone wants to go in Thursday afternoon. I can use a bow paddler. Group stew(s) sound good.

I'm booked Thursday night and Saturday night so no chance I can make this one

We need to organize a hang that is Monday - Wednesday for the weekend workers and shift guys

Perhaps next hang I can make it out

Sorry to hear you can't make it Lofty.

I hear you about the timing, but unfortunately weekends just seem to work out better for most of us. I imagine, however, that it shouldn't be too difficult to swing a long weekend that extends onto the Mon/Tues instead of the Thur/Fri.

Oh hey. Thats right, we talked a while ago. I'd forgotten I wasn't the only K-town guy anymore!

As the date approaches, we'll figure out the canoes / bow paddlers etc. I know some others are keen to possibly go in early (highboy, old boot, iguana, maybe even chard). I'm really looking forward to this one with some fall colours.
