    From builde to builder.....

Interesting how this has taken a turn from me looking for someone to build one for me, to me building one for someone else.

    Here's the start......

I was finally able to make a couple templates for different curves which will speed things up tremendously.

Well, the Necchi decided it has a screw loose, literally. Ruined a fair bit of stitching that Ill need to fix so this has been tabled.

I did have an idea on making the body from one continuous piece of fabric. Similar to Hiking Dads but different.

Can't wait to see what your latest version looks like.

I've been accused of having a screw loose also, but it hasn't kept me from sewing!

opie, first question: is your name a spin on "OP" which stands for "original poster" in forums? Haha.

Second question: is this the hammock you were talking about in my thread? It looks very wide. I like it. I bet there isn't much shoulder squeeze if any. I decided to go all out and finally built myself a legitimate portaledge because I just couldn't make a bridge hammock or nylon platform work.

This has been bugging me too. Every single time I see you post in someone else's thread, I wonder whether you've just answered your own post.

Not to derail too much, but does this mean you went back to portaledges again, or are you referring to the history of your hammock phases?

Its a nick name I picked up when I was younger. Back when Ron Howard had hair ( and me too) I was a spitting image of Ron. So much so people would ask me for autographs and pay for my dinners.

No, I had to table that for a minute. There was a misunderstanding on my part in regards to the hammock I built in this thread, and I needed to get it wrapped up. The one you are referring to is waiting patiently in the projects box.
