    Just introducing myself

Hi all, I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. Hiking, biking and fly fishing have been my weekens for several years. Wanting to spend a bit more time and was looking into camping more when this site poped up. What can I say but, Hammock Camping sounds like the only way to go.

Interesting reads on every subject. Who would have know how much there is to learn about hammock? Any way, just wanted to say great site and hello.

    Dennis

    Welcome to the forum!
You can spend weeks reading non-stop and you still won't get to the end. I've been trying for more than 2 years.

Welcome aboard, Dennis. Plenty of good reding and excellent advice here on HF. On a separate note, I live right down the road from you in Charlotte. If you want to try out a piece of gear or 2, let me know. I can meet you somwehere like Crowder's and let you give a couple things a try.

On another note, you can always join the gang in Hot Springs for a group hang September 18-20. There will be plenty of hammocks to look at and try out. Plus, there are usually a few spare hammocks around, just in case. And not to mention, we always have a lot of fun. Lots of great info, stories, and lies around the campfire.

Best camping/hiking move Ive made on gear yet is buying the first hammock. Something bout warm, dry, and off the ground that make the adventure soooo much more enjoyable. Happy hanging and welcome to your new obsession . Good folks here that answer even teh dumbest question no matter how many times its been posted before.

    Talking Yo!

Glad to have ya. This place is an excellent place to gather info and spread it. That and the fact we are among good folks well myself excluded (Hahahaha), but honestly, start saving now as you will more than likely hate us within a few months because of the different ways we make you spend your hard earned casholla.

Welcome to the forum! This really is a great site. I find it really adds to the excitement of hammocking to have others that share your passion.

There is never a dull moment on here.....
