Looks and sounds like a great trip. Just this past July we did the 50(53.5 to be correct) miles down the Susquehanna. 5 days and 4 nights. The boys and adults had a great time. Most of our scouts are on the young side. 1st and 2nd year scouts for the most part but all out door die hearts.

The SM is currently looking into a 10 day Canada trip but if we can't get enough interest we will setup a Adirondack trip. If you wouldn't mind I would like to get more details about your trip. If you had a trip plan made up and your willing to pass it on that would be great.

Sorry for the delay, I was out hanging for 4 days. All of the planning was done using the Adirondack Paddlers Map and Guide as seen here

The boys chose this route because they wanted a true wilderness experience, but that will limit your group size to 9 due to the Five Ponds Wilderness area rules. The paddling was fairly easy and there were some groups (boy scout and girl scout) with much younger members than we had, but they were moving much slower up river.

If you decide to purchase the map and guide, make sure it is the latest version because much has changed with the campsites.

You can also find a lot of information by googling "paddling Adirondacks".
