So I just my first post in a long time, in fact my first since the change to to site.

My first post post was in error and and I made a repost of the original. But I can't delete the the original post. How do I delete the original?

Also, it seems my post doesn't show up in "New Posts", only in the category that I originally set the post up in (Trip Reports). Why does my post not show up in "new Posts"?

I think I got it for you.

In the first 72 hours after posting, you should be able to select "Edit Post"/"Delete Post" make the desired selection and click on "Delete Post".

Your own posts do not show up in "New Posts" because you have already seen them so they are not new to you. They will be in new posts for everyone else.

You won't see your posts or any other threads that you've viewed in "new posts" unless someone has commented on them since you last viewed them. Use "odds and ends" then "today's posts" to view everything recent.
