FWIW...You could shorten the WBBB ridgeline, but lengthening it will tend to overstress the bug net.

To temporarily shorten it to see what differences it makes, you can just wrap it multiple times around a carabiner.

link and misc ideas on adj SRL

Many ways to do it with or without hardware, pay most attention to gmcttr's comments.

    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ughts-on-my-RL

Personally I prefer not to use hardware because it can cause damage to netting and add weight also a whoopie sling does not adjust well under tension but it is very easy to adjust once you get out. A UCR is more efficient in that it uses less cord. But I should let others comment. No one best method. Mess around with several methods see what works best for you. Have fun.

Edit: gmcttr jumped in and made excellent recommendations. Last weekend a lady tried out my WBBB and commented on how she could not quite bend my RL to the 45 degrees she had read about or seen on a YT video. It was a little shorter than some might consider "ideal", or my hand is a little stronger than hers. All this is personal preference but too long and with the net attached and you may have a tear and mosquitos all night long. So don't mess around too much or you could be running around camp asking for duct tape LOL. So good point about risks involved with adjustable SRL.
